Get your drinks on Route 76 - and see double!
Not quite the famous song but nevertheless a handy bus route to
some of the best real ale in the Vale of Clwyd. The 76 bus route
takes in, among others, the villages of
Llandyrnog, Henderwydd and Llangynhafal.
In Llandyrnog there is the White Horse. There is also the Golden Lion less than 5 minutes walk from the
White Horse.
In Llangynhafal is
the Golden Lion.
In Henderwydd there is (guess what) the White Horse
(NB pub closed at present - November 2008).
The bus also serves Ruthin where there is the Boar's Head, and Graigfechan where there is the Three Pigeons Inn.
Those keen enough may wish to walk between Llandyrnog and Henderwydd and/or Henderwydd and Llangynhafal. The 76 service is roughly every two hours which gives time for a beer or two in one or more of the pubs mentioned.
The 76 timetable is available on the Denbighshire County Council web site.
